backstory
Dr. Jimmy’s journey to pediatric dentistry was powered by grit, heart, and a drive to inspire the next generation. From early on, he knew he wanted to use dentistry as a way to connect with and advocate for children and their families. But growing up in Stone Mountain, GA, Dr. Jimmy didn’t have connections or an easy path forward. He worked hard through high school in Decatur, juggled jobs delivering oxygen to hospitals, and refused to let “mentors” who told him he wasn’t ready stop him from following his dream.
EDUCATION
After graduating from Georgia State University, Dr. Jimmy earned his dental degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville and completed a pediatric dental residency at One Brooklyn Health in Brooklyn, NY, where he helped kids from all walks of life — including the city’s most underserved neighborhoods. He became the first doctor in his family and the first to start and own a business.
PASSION
He couldn’t be more stoked that overcoming setbacks and self-doubt brought him back to Georgia, doing what he loves most: helping kids smile with confidence. That perseverance shapes everything he does at Pediatric Dental Studio.
Outside the office, Dr. Jimmy is a big kid at heart, whether he’s building LEGO sets, gaming, capturing moments on camera, or cheering for Atlanta’s teams. Family and friends are his foundation, and he brings that same warmth and energy to every patient and parent he meets.
