Tooth Tips from your Friendly Neighborhood Dentist

For kids, the best dental care is preventative. We put emphasis on creating healthy habits and making them a lighthearted, fun part of a kid’s daily routine. Here’s a few of our favorite tips:

Two minutes is just right for brushing your teeth every morning and every night. Brush along to your favorite tune every day, or even make a toothbrushing playlist to change it up!

A pea-sized drop of fluoride toothpaste is all you need. Too much can be messy, and a little goes a long way in keeping your smile strong.

Move your brush in swirly circles so every tooth, front and back, gets a tickle! Remember to brush all the hiding spots, like behind your teeth and along your gums.

After munching on lunch or snacks, a few sips of water can help wash away sneaky sugar bugs until it’s time to brush again.

Every Buddy Belongs

We personalize care to every kid, including those with special needs. If your child has dental anxiety, could benefit from a sensory-friendly room, or has a special request to help them feel comfortable, please let us know.

PEDIATRIC DENTAL SERVICES

Prophylaxis

(Teeth Cleaning)

During their regular six-month appointment, your child will experience a gentle and thorough cleaning to help prevent cavities and promote overall oral health.

Dental Sealants

A  coating can be professionally applied to prevent cavities by sealing the chewing surfaces. Dental sealants are easy to apply and provide years of protection.

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth has decay, disease, trauma, or may impede normal oral development, we remove the tooth.

Zirconia

(“White” Pediatric Crowns)

To protect a decayed or damaged tooth, we offer white, metal-free Zirconia crowns.

Fillings

(Tooth colored)

When necessary, we use composite fillings with a tooth-colored resin to fill in cavities. As a result, fillings blend in naturally.

sedation dentistry

Sedation dentistry helps little ones relax during dental procedures. Options include nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and intravenous (IV) sedation.

Dental Emergencies

If you are unsure if the pain your child is experiencing requires immediate attention, please call us.
